CURRICULUM
Headway escuela Junior enrolls children from the age of 2 through the first grade. We cultivate the habits of the mind and heart that carry through a lifetime; a curiousity about the world, a desire for learning and confidence in their individual abilities.
An introduction to the HEJ experience:
- INDIVIDUALIZED INSTRUCTION: With a child teacher ratio of 10 to 1, we meet each child where he is socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually.
- HANDS ON LEARNING: children at HEJ learn through love and laughter and be it art, music, reading or basic maths, our children genuinely get caught up in the joy of learning.
- Bright and colourful classrooms and a multipurpose room, which opens up to, an invigorating, play area outside.
- THEMATIC APPROACHES: students discover how all learning is related, as they become better readers, writers and thinkers. Everyday they learn more about language arts, social studies, science, art, music and physical education.
- PARENT SCHOOL LINK: parents meet up with teachers twice a year, however individual appointments may be scheduled at any time. Parents are kept informed of the childrens' latest doings through a bi monthly newsletter.
